Trials

Every voice is a story waiting to be told, and choosing the right place to begin that story is a sacred step. At Once Upon a Voice, we believe the path into our studio should be as gentle and supportive as the music we create together. To help you find your footing in our world, we offer several ways to explore our culture and craft before committing to a full membership. These introductory paths are designed to honor the unique rhythm of every learner, ensuring your musical journey begins in a way that feels grounded, clear, and true to your needs. For those who wish to wander through our digital groves at their own pace, entry begins with our free membership tier, accessible simply by joining our newsletter. This gateway provides immediate access to our Singer-Songwriter Series, a collection of enchanted guides for voice, songwriting, piano, production, and music theory. Within this space, you will find essential vocal warm-ups and cool-downs, a guide for vocal health, and an invitation to The Lyric Isles—our private online community where kindred spirits gather to share their songs. When you are ready for a more personal connection, adult singers and songwriters may embark on their exploration through a paid trial of our Live One-on-One Coaching. This session offers a direct experience of our trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming approach, providing a dedicated sanctuary to address creative questions or vocal goals. For younger musicians ages 6–18, we offer paid trial lessons that invite students into a guided adventure of singing and songwriting. These sessions weave in supportive tools like piano and music production, keeping the experience low-pressure, curious, and attuned to each student’s individual communication style. Because every path is different, we also offer free 15-minute consultations for families of children ages 0–6, or for any seeker who wishes to speak face-to-face before beginning a service. These brief conversations offer a clearing in the woods to discuss specific goals, accessibility needs, and our values without the requirement of an immediate lesson. Whether you are building confidence or shaping original work, we ensure that every student’s story is honored and every creative path is respected from the very first interaction.
